November Pool Tournament winners

The trails at Non-toxic's lodge were beautiful but the pretty leaves were so incredibly noisy that there was no way we were gonna surprise a buck taking a noon day nap like the last time we walked the woods but we did kick up a grouse which assured me that my adrenaline system works just fine! :-)

It has been a beautiful weekend weather wise to get work done at the lodge.

BearClaw Lodge is officially on the map now! Well, at least the fire department can find us.

Fall Fest 2010 Our Teens are Awesome!

A big thank you to Leif, Clayton, Joseph, Nick, Joanna, Jesse, and Hannah for playing tonight.
There were electric guitar originals, acoustic guitar songs and duets, drum solos, violin and two different bands, so it was a nice mix of styles and performances.

The first rain barrel is in place at the lodge. The water will be put to all sorts of use-not drinking of course! Hopefully this is just the first of several that are put into service this summer. The next things we need are Solar Panels!

The guys had to paint all of these-I think it was 8- sheets of 3/4 in. plywood. I don't think they knew they were also gonna get to carry it the next day after the second coat of paint! But they were such good spirited workers.

Flower lined paths through the woods!

The trails that we made opened up some of the woods to more sunlight and the trilium - the little white flowers you see- have taken advantage of it and now line all the trails! It was quite the unexpected site when we got here. The effect is beautiful in person!

I would have said that this was the World's First Plunger Pool Tournament, but Non-Toxic actually held the first one back in 1993 in our first location. So 17 years later, it seemed time for the second Plunger Pool Tournament.

They could bring their own plunger, or use the house cue/plunger. Some wise ones stopped and brought brand new ones on the way to the tournament!

The players found it awkward initially and then they totally adapted.
